Driver Expectations and Training
Welcome to Angels Courier. We are excited that you will be driving for us and look forward to a safe and long relationship.
In order to be a driver for Angels Courier, you will need to understand and follow certain guidelines. Failure to do so, will quickly lead to disciplinary procedures up to and including termination. As you read below, you will see that most of the items on the list are common sense items. Others may be more specific to the delivery world of business.

Please read through all of the listed items along with any explanation that goes with it. The list is not necessarily listed in order of importance or alphabetically. At the end, you will have an opportunity to test your knowledge on being a driver for Angels Courier.
Personal Appearance
As a driver for Angels Courier it is important to remember that you are representing the company and we always want to look the best we can. Much of our work is derived from our good service and reputation. You should arrive at work well groomed, with clean and neat clothing; including your uniform shirt.

Whether you are driving your own vehicle or a company vehicle you should always make sure:

Since you are representing Angels Courier, we want you to provide excellent customer service. We always want to delivery our customers packages in a safe and timely manner.
Travel
As a driver for Angels Courier it is important to remember that you are representing the company and we always want to look the best we can. Much of our work is derived from our good service and reputation. You should arrive at work well groomed, with clean and neat clothing; including your uniform shirt.
Vehicle
Whether you are driving your own vehicle or a company vehicle you should always make sure:
- It is in proper working order
- Fuel level is full
- Is clean, inside and out
- The vehicle should be free of odors, such as smoke from cigarettes' or other smells. Our customers do not want to receive packages that smell.
- Park you vehicle in appropriate spots. Do not park on the customers lawn, or flowerbed.
Service
Since you are representing Angels Courier, we want you to provide excellent customer service. We always want to delivery our customers packages in a safe and timely manner.
- Always present a cheerful, helpful and attentive attitude
- Never smoke while delivering a package or in sight of the customer after delivering to the customer
- Never argue, get upset, raise your voice, yell or use inappropriate language with a customer. Some customers can be a little bit of a challenge but that is no reason you can't do your job correctly.
- If you don't know the correct answer to a question, don't make one up. Call dispatch to get help with the correct answer to a question.
Travel
- Do not exceed the speed limit. Especially be aware of speeding in neighborhoods and parking lots.
- Road rage is never acceptable on your part. Yes, there are rude, crazy and other drivers that don't obey the rules of the road, but as a professional driver, you need to keep calm and don't become part of the problem.
